UK Blog Sound of 2014 – Longlist

We’re pleased, honoured in fact, to be involved in the ‘UK BLOG SOUND 2014’.

60 (if I counted right) other blogs from all over the UK nominated 3 acts each and over 100 were put forward. The top 16 now form our longlist which is released today to coincide with the BBC Sound of 2014 list announced last Sunday night.

This isn’t supposed to rival the BBC list, that would be faintly ridiculous, akin to me selected my own England squad for next years Football World Cup and asking them to join my team and not Roy Hodgson’s. Now, that isn’t to say my team would be less successful. I’m quite the player at Football Manager on the PC don’t you know. In the same way I’d like to think the blog list, though inadequate in it’s potential reach, is in no way inferior in quality.

Make up your own minds below, but before we continue a big thank you to Robin at Breaking More Waves who pulled this all together.

The shortlist of 3 will be announced in January. I forget the date, it’s an email from Robin somewhere in the depths of gmail…
