We know why you come here, you know.
You come for two things: Firstly, you come to be regaled by scintillating, Pulitzer Prize-winning tales of the goings on at SGTMT Headquarters. Equal parts entertaining and informative. Both captivating and whimsical. We know you adore it.
Secondly, you come for a consistently high standard of music recommendation. Recommendations we’ve shed blood, sweat and tears to bring you, that cut through the white noise of Twitter, Hype Machine, Soundcloud and everything else vying for your attention these days. You come for the crème de la crème. The best of the best. The Top Gun of music. And we give it to you, readers, we give it to you.
How do we do it? How?! Sometimes we wonder ourselves, it’s quite something, it really is. I’m sure you’re nodding your head in agreement. Perhaps also applauding.
Tonight, though, my team is losing, the SGTMT clothes horse is broken, I’m hungry and a forage in the SGTMT Shared Foodstuffs Pantry unearthed only the dregs in the bottom of a jar of Marmite, a tin of budget vegetable soup that doesn’t look good at all and a banana which is just the wrong side of on-the-turn.
So screw the former, here’s the latter, from a trio who are fast becoming one of our favourite acts; HAIM:
*UPDATE* There’s a sweet video now too:

Nope, don’t like it. See, I’m not all about joy unconfined. Otherwise there would be little point in expressing an opinion.
What I want now is something really massive, to destroy my residual high frequency hearing capability. Mmmmmm. I think we are talking AC/DC. I think we are talking Thunderstruck ‘Live at River Plate’ on YouTube. Which is possibly the silliest thing I have ever seen. Whilst headbanging. Old blokes entertain several favelas of lithe Latinos, while wearing flat caps and shorts. C’mon!
big things coming from these girls, trust!
