S O H N – The Wheel

S O H N is a London born but now Vienna based musician/producer type. He’s also blessed with a stroke of genius. Listen and you’ll agree.

The Wheel is from the EP of the same name due out in November. It’s a blistering tune blending a familiar tick ticking beat with all manner of synth joys and gently constructed vocals. My ears are happy.

My only point of dislike, albeit a minor one, is the name. I can’t say it. I’ve tried and I just can’t. The spaces suggest that I should spell it rather than follow the normal pattern of human speech and squash all the letters together to make what’s known as ‘words’. However, after a few goes of spelling it can confirm that it doesn’t work. Try it and you’ll agree. Yet all the same, how do I say it? Help.

Putting aside my minor quibble let’s all come together, switch on the transistor and enjoy S O H N. Electronica never sounded so good:

    In my father’s house are many mansions …. but sorry, there’s no room for this. Look, I try to see the best in every musical endeavour, and there’s usually something you can enjoy, even if it’s only the bassist’s hairstyle. But this isn’t for me. And of course I am the centre of the universe. Aren’t you?
