It’s a wonderful day isn’t it? The sun is streaming through the SGTMT Headquarters Listening Room windows and we’re happy summer is still with us.
It’s not even half past nine and we’ve already had our breakfast and are preparing to go and have a picnic, a proper summer activity, before visiting a museum where nothing is labelled.
(We know what you’re thinking, what is the point of a museum where nothing is labelled? Perhaps it’s the opportunity to take along your own official-looking printed labels to leave next to the exhibits for future visitors? Heheheh.)
The point it, it’s sunny and we refuse to believe summer has gone. Odesza, a collaboration between Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches have set free their LP this week and it’s called Summer’s Gone. They are just going to have to change the title. It’s wrong.
Nothing else is wrong though. We had high hopes when we heard How Did I Get Here last month and we’re not disappointed. The dreamy collages of sound and drifting vocals are the perfect soundtrack to a summer morning as we brush our hair and put on shoes. Take a listen for yourself:
We would happily pay real money for that, but we don’t have to as it’s a gift, from Odesza to us. Here‘s where you can unwrap it. It’s like Christmas come early! No, wait..
