I’ve got beard envy. Just look at the picture above. How can I ever achieve such facial grooming perfection? What they’ve accomplished is nothing less than art. And art in it’s purest sense, what could be purer art than the greatest of beards? Your stunned silence is all we need to know. Stand and applaud everyone, come on O readers of SGTMT, stand and applaud the mighty and majestic beards of these Danish Kings.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look directly at a mirror again. Woe is me.
The White Album boast not only beards of premier quality, but also a growing catalogue of delicately crafted progressive folk. Their sound boasts the rare quality of being warmly intimate and affectionate and yet within a framework of cavernous, wintry melancholy; like hot chocolate round a forest campfire on a cold winters evening.
Their mini-album Conquistador is fast approaching and at SGTMT we’ve been allowed a sneak preview and can confirm this much – it’s the business. Like, proper good.
As is the custom of small to medium sized artists who wish to tarry the favour of the record buying public, they’ve released a free download of the most excellent Counting Treasures. Listen to and enjoy:

The music is good. Tasteful, restrained.
As a hirsute person myself, I can assess a beard, but those are just excessive. We really are talking the Brian Blessed Appreciation Society. But no insult intended – if you’ve got it, flaunt it. I myself can only grow a pitiful wispy thing. I neaten it to hide my weak chin and flabby neck.
Incidentally, ‘tarry the favour’? I’m all in favour of the arcane and the underused phrase. ‘Mopery’ is my favourite crime. But I think that’s a typo. Are we talking ‘curry favour’, which in itself needs further research?
Yours, Perplexed of Tonbridge.
