A list of things I don’t know much about:
- Science. It mangled my brain at school and still does. Particularly Chemistry. Periodic tables make me confused and grumpy.
- The rationale behind Spurs sacking Harry Redknapp and bringing in AVB. FOOLS. ARRRRGGGGHHHH YOU FOOLS. Axing the best manager in 20 years (at least) for that chump makes as much sense as me and Prof. Brian Cox trading jobs for a week. No, no, no.
- DIY. I once tried to put up a curtain pole. I created two dozen cavities in the wall and it stayed up for a week. I’ve still not forgiven the curtain pole in question and we regularly exchange dirty looks of thinly suppressed rage.
- Findlay. A girl from Manchester who first appeared on the scene (SoundCloud) two months ago and has released two excellent tracks (see below). That’s all we know.
Wait, wait; she’s signed to Joyeux Anniversaire Records and has an interwebs page (where you can download Your Sister for free).
That’s it. We know no more. But what does that matter? I know didley (illegal) squat about Chemistry but it doesn’t stop being flippin amazing when your over enthusiastic science teacher makes fireballs in the lab. And dear friends, Findlay is the new music equivalent of a Chemistry experiment gone wrong (but somehow right) resulting in a geotomic (just made up that word) explosion across the paltry and pathetic indie rock scene in the UK.
This tune will make Findlay famous:
