Propagandhi – Failed States

August 30, 2012

I am getting on a little bit. I am. I can see the shrouded figure of death in the not too distant future beckoning forward into the afterlife.

When you get to this stage of life, where your reactions slow and you consider wearing a nappy, you feel the need to look back and assess life. As I have carefully gone through all of my hopes, dreams, expectations, and disappointments I have come to realise that Propagandhi are an incredible band.

I first discovered these Canadian vegan punks on a Fat Music compilation that I purchased from a NoFX show back in the early 1990s. This was before the internet. I actually paid money for it. Crazy.

The song Anti-Manifesto sent a shiver down my spine and tickled my bowels (true story).

Anyways, they are back. Again. They didn’t really go away to be honest. Their last album (Supporting Caste) was a wonderful bowel tickling metal/punk album.

This is Duplicate Keys Icaro (An Interim Report)

And this is failed states -

If that doesn’t shift your internal organs it’s possible they have been stolen.

Buy Failed States by Propagandhi on CD from Amazon or on MP3 from iTunes.
SGTMT SUGGESTS:
Breton - Got Well Soon
Dreampop being savaged by a pitbull.
Pink Mexico - Paperclip Toothpick
Garage rock is never going to be the future. The genre has the mass appeal of a David Dickinson tatt...
The Jungle Giants - She's A Riot
She's A Riot is as catchy as Cholera in Victorian London
PAPA - I'm Not Sorry
Tom & Tim wrestling naked in a bath of Sugar Puffs is not a pretty sight.
