Since when is an album allowed to be just seven tracks long? Seven tracks is a long EP in our books, not an album. Especially when one of the songs is a remix of one of the other songs.
Lots of people are at it, and we suppose we only mention it on this occasion because Bear Mountain‘s new XO
EP LP is so good we want there to be more of it.
Bear Mountain is Vancouver-based duo Ian Bevis and Kyle Statham. We understand that Ian is the boss and Kyle helps out sometimes, or something along those lines. Their combination of electronica and live instrumentation is just a joy. It’s fun without being throw-away, deep without being stodgy. It’s just right.
