The Antlers – Drift Drive (Undersea EP)

When we waved the flag for The Antlers‘ Burst Apart LP as one of our Albums of 2011 we said that enjoying the band was a case of enjoying the little details. A trumpet refrain here, a subtle organ there.

The Antlers have a new Undersea EP due soon, and here’s the opening track, Drift Drive. Nothing happens, again it’s the little details; the hint of piano or the intertwined horn section. It depends which detail catches your ear, there are plenty to go around.
