Jessie Ware – Wildest Moments

June 19, 2012

When we fell in love with SBTRKT‘s LP last year the thing that really caught our attention was the vocalists.

Sampha‘s wonderfully smokey voice dominated much of it, and Roses Gabor made a big impression on Pharaohs, but the voice we’ve been waiting to hear more from is the young lady who graced Right Thing To Do; Jessie Ware.

She has not disappointed. Running saw her take the step from guest vocalist to artist in her own right and hinted at a major blossoming of her range. (An excellent remix from Disclosure lent her a big boost too):

What next though for the South London singer? Some next level business, that’s what. This is Wildest Moments:

She sounds so elegant, she looks so elegant. There’s a hook and a half. Wildest Moments is a delicately beautiful but sad song about a crumbling love. It’s not lightweight. A combination of finely balanced production and a stunning voice. This girl is going places.

Jessie Ware releases Devotion LP through Island on 20th August and we’re pretty excited about it. Pre-order it here. Keep an eye on her on Facebook.
