Bear In Heaven are from Brooklyn, New York. Disappointing I know. Wouldn’t it be great if they were actually a Sleuth (a group of bears, I’m clever I know) of heavenly bears marauding angelically through the new musical world armed only with harps and lyres. Sadly not. They’re in fact four regular looking chaps from yank land. Fortunately their music more than makes up for their distinctly earthly status.
Their new album I Love You, It’s Cool has provoked quite a stir with impressive reviews heralding its release this week. Nonetheless, SGTMT has remained resilient to the Hype. We’ve resisted the raving reviews and stood firm in our belief that Bear In Heaven are, sort of, just ok. That is, until we heard this:
Let it spin a few times, it’s quite splendid don’t you think?
Not convinced? Try The Reflection Of You instead:
They’re not our new favourite band. They probably won’t make our albums of the year, but I like a couple of their songs. That is all.
