Japandroids – The House That Heaven Built

April 1, 2012

In SGTMT headquarters this week the plague hit. It was sad. I had snot running out of every orifice and poor Tom could barely tie his shoelaces due to the crippling afflictions he suffered (having said that we do normally have to help him with his shoelaces). These dire debilitating diseases meant a truly foul affair took place, we forget the Japandroids. Shock, and then some horror.

All is not lost however, because here we are, y’know, writing about them. No harm done hey?

Japandroids are amazing for several reasons.

1) They have an amazing name. Honestly it’s incredible, thinking of renaming one of my kids right now.
2) They make bass guitars redundant. Sorry my 4 stringed friends, punk rock no longer needs you. Goodbye.
3) They write poptastical, punkazing, indie rock delights.
4) They have an amazing name. Honestly it’s incredible, my 3rd daughter is now called Japandroid.

Their latest album Celebration Rock is coming soon but ahead of that they’ve released the superb The House That Heaven Built. Enjoy.
