Tourist – Placid Acid

The Brighton music scene is often thought of as a hot-bed of middle of the road indie-rock bands, think Kooks *shudder*, the Maccabees etc. But more recently we’ve been able to highlight some of the more varied sounds from the city including Abi Wade, The Robot Heart, the Tru Thoughts label Pope Joan and Tall Ships.

An increasingly respected producer from Brighton is Will Phillips, aka Tourist. He’s more known for remixes of Clock Opera, Yeasayer & Goldfrapp (see below) under the name Little Loud but with his new moniker he’s spurning out some original material. The Placid Acid EP is due out on the 7th March on the Make Mine label.
