Today I survived my 4 year old’s birthday party. It only lasted an hour and a half, and there were only 10 children present, nonetheless I still feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. Not just any bus, oh no, I’ve been hit by a pink, Peppa Pig themed double decker, driven by a half-cut Postman Pat. Eurgh.
In our great wisdom we’d not hired a ‘children’s entertainer’ (code for ‘adult depressant’) for the party, although if we had we might have considered the suitably named Mr Fogg. I’m sure his brand of emotive electronica would have fitted perfectly between pass the parcel & musical bumps. Maybe not.
I suspect children’s parties don’t feature in Mr Fogg’s performance repertoire but don’t let that put you off. The Oxford based genius has one album under his belt, Moving Parts and 2012 sees the release of his currently unnamed second.
In anticipation of the full release he’s let this beaut slip out of the hat. Stay Out Of The Sun is Mr Fogg at his very best (at least to date) and what’s more you can have it, like, for your self. Listen below then go download. Do it:
