Here at team SGTMT headquarters we’ve not indulged in any ‘ones to watch’ posts for next year, mainly because I’m fairly certain I’d be wrong. Most bands I think stand a chance end up working for Royal Mail and those that I think are annoyingly awful usually make it. Boo.
Having said that, we do from time to time suggest that you Keep an eye on some upcoming artist or other. Today we eagerly exhort you to check out Deaf Club. Their Lull EP has been getting some attention and they’re following that up in the new year with one of those double a-side jobs with Mirrors / Sunday.
From the evidence of this EP, particularly the track below Hana, these guys have some good form, watch out for more next year.
