On Saturday nights I watch Match of the Day, drink whisky and discover new music. Regular readers (hi Tom & Tim) will be well acquainted with this custom, new readers probably won’t care, though I’m writing this so I’ll talk about what I want, when I want. Ya bo sucks to you.
Bibio is known by his mum as Stephen Wilkinson. He’s based in London and allegedly studied Sonic Arts at University. I couldn’t quite believe that such a course might exist but Google says it does, and Google doesn’t mess. Back when I was a pup you went to University to study history, maths or woodwork.
Thankfully Stevie didn’t go for shelf varnishing and his studies have led to some quite excellent releases, particularly this track Don’t Summarise My Summer Eyes. It’s about 6 months old so you might have heard it around but I haven’t. So there.
