It’s been a great night. Not only did I get to enjoy some amusing results in Champions League football, but I’ve heard the news that SGTMT favourite Gang Colours has a debut LP due on Brownswood Recordings in February. Splendid!
We posted about Gang Colours in June of this year, urging you to keep an eye on him. By the sounds of this tune from the forthcoming The Keychain Collection LP, On Compton Bay, it has been well worth doing so:
On Compton Bay is unmistakably Gang Colours but more subdued, poignant and melancholy than anything I’ve heard from him before. If you head over to Pitchfork, you can download it now. The LP sounds like a very interesting prospect to me. More on it nearer the time.
