Every now and again I just can’t resist what’s known in the trade as a ‘banger’. They’re the Big Macs of the music world, well packaged, mass produced, utterly lacking in subtlety or originality and ultimately regrettable but at the time, in the moment, indefinably irresistible.
I can usually keep them at arms length but when they’re free, as in, like, free. I can’t do much about it.
