I am a simple guy

I ain’t complicated. I wish I was a bit deeper like one of those people who can listen to a song and describe how it touches their soul or could listen to Alanis Morrisette and dissect the real meaning of “ironic”. Maybe I could be one of those guys who listens to soft folk music they discovered on pitchfork and talk about the deep socialist undertones that clearly come from the artists upbringing in blah blah blah because yada yada yada. But I am not that guy.

Rock music has to make me wish I was in the band. If I listen to something and find myself wondering how cool it would be to play live then I am won over.

Manchester Orchestra kind of did that for me. Simple Math is..ah…simple. Big chords, orchestra, anthemic (is that a word?) chorus and a memorable melody. Dubstep it aint.
